Native sage. This is not the White Sage (Salvia apiana, see ‘annuals’ page) of smudge bundles, however, it is wonderful in smudge bundles and is extremely hardy,and drought tolerant. This is the sage that is growing all around the Western Slope. Peeling bark on the branches and fragrant blue green leaves give rise to insignificant (unless you are a bee) flowers in late summer/autumn. This is another very important late summer bee foraging plant. Full sun #5 pots
