Wormwood (Artemisia absinthium)

So you like Absinthe do you? Well this is your plant… Used in the production of Absinthe, as well as for intestinal parasites. Related to our local Tall Western Sage (See Shrubs), this herbaceous cousin has a strong fragrance of Sage on similar blue-green leaves. Use as perennial hedgerow or as specimen plant in arid landscapes. Grows vigorously to 4’ high and wide and needs little care. Can be invasive. Grown for foliage with insignificant flowers in September. (However, the bees do not find them insignificant and really appreciate this late summer food). Prefers full sun, but will tolerate light shade. prune back before setting seed to minimize invasive nature. #1 pots
