Essential to every permaculture garden and edible landscape. Not an artichoke at all, but a memeber of the Aster (Daisy) family with excellent edible tubers that are dug in late Autumn after blooms die back. Tall (4’-5’) stems with small sunflowers in late summer. Great late season bee forage. Virtually maintenance free, spread by tubers. Sometimes called “Sunchokes” Full sun to part shade #1 pots
