Figwort (Scrophularia nodosa)

Figwort (Scrophularia nodosa)

Relatively unknown medicinal plant, but worthy of a place in the garden. Commonly a food for larvae of some butterfly and moth of the Lepidoptera species. This is a great perennial for shady areas. Deep burgundy, tiny flowers in late spring to summer, growing 18”-24” tall. I have a whole patch in my backyard and love to watch the butterflies and hummingbirds that are attracted to it. Full shade to part sun. #1 pots
